Traditionally used as a medicinal herb for treating eye infections. Hence the common name, Eyebright

Semi-parasitic on roots of surrounding plants.
Leaves mostly opposite, often alternate high on the stem.

I've only seen this plant in a few generally moist areas that at times turn dry.

Found: Fields, roadsides, waste places - my lawn
Height: 3 - 8 inch
June - Sept bloom time
