Indian Strawberry

Mock Strawberry - Duchesnea indica

AKA: Indian Strawberry and Potentilla indica

It grows like a strawberry, looks like a strawberry but the yellow flowers doesn't make it a duck. In sunny moist gardens it grows like a groundcover, forming overlapping matted tangles of foliage.

The berries are edible but are tasteless and a bit 'woody'.

Found: fields, wasteplaces, lawns - prefers moist soil
